On 21 and 22 May 2024, the UKOTEK team together with PICUS Security organised two exclusive dinners for CISOs. The first event was held at a distinguished restaurant in Madrid, while the second was held at a Michelin-starred restaurant in Barcelona.
Lessons from Formula 1
A highlight of the events was the participation of former F1 driver and current Ferrari ambassador Marc Gené, who shared valuable lessons on the importance of preparation and simulation in racing. This concept applies directly to cybersecurity. Just as in Formula 1, where simulating unexpected situations is key to staying competitive, UKOTEK Cybersecurity offers companies the ability to simulate and prepare for potential breaches using PICUS Security technology. This preparation is essential, as the effectiveness of security controls can diminish over time. By keeping up with the constantly evolving threat landscape, companies can simulate and mitigate real risks within their specific contexts.
Live Demonstrations and Priorities
In addition, the event offered practical content focused on the solutions that UKOTEK and PICUS Security provide to their clients. Alejandro de Briñas, partner at Ukotek, presented a session on how to assess and prioritise the real risks in each company, adapting security measures to the specific needs of each organisation.
Dani Molina, gave a demonstration of the PICUS Security orchestration platform, showing how this advanced tool helps companies to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities through simulations of real attacks. This demonstration was followed by a question and answer session in which participants were able to clarify their doubts and share concerns about the challenges they face in their own companies.
Conclusions of the event
The event not only highlighted the importance of simulation and preparedness in cyber security, but also allowed attendees to delve into concrete solutions to mitigate risks from UKOTEK and PICUS Security. Antonio Feninno (Director of South EMEA at PICUS Security), in his closing remarks, underlined the importance of having the right tools and the right strategic partners to stay ahead in a constantly evolving threat environment.
The "Risk & Bytes" events in Madrid and Barcelona brought together cybersecurity leaders from different sectors and demonstrated that, with the right tools and preparation, it is possible to stay one step ahead of today's threats.
