Blue Report 2024: Managing Threat Exposure in the Digital World

The Blue Report 2024developed by Picus Labs, is a detailed analysis based on more than 136 million simulated cyber attacks worldwide. This report sets a new standard for understanding and improving threat exposure management, providing essential data and clear recommendations for strengthening cyber security in organisations.

Key Findings of the Blue Report 2024

1. Assessing and Prioritising Critical Risks

The report highlights that 40% of the environments assessed allow access as a domain administrator, which is a critical risk. This level of vulnerability can be quickly exploited by attackers, underlining the need to identify and prioritise these risks in enterprise systems.

2. Attack Detection and Response

Currently, only 56% of attacks are logged, and only 12% generate alerts. This shortfall in detection and response capability indicates an urgent need to optimise security systems to improve visibility and minimise the gaps that cybercriminals could exploit.

3. Security in macOS Environments: A Weak Point

While Windows and Linux systems are able to prevent more than 60% of attacks, macOS devices only manage to prevent 23%. This reinforces the need to pay more attention to protecting macOS environments, which are often underestimated in security strategies.
